Wanted to let you know that there are two projects coming up very soon that you’ll see here at Translucid World Headquarters (alternately my home office and a Bridgehead coffee shop).

Mark Blevis

Recently I asked readers about a PR 101 podcast. Well, Mark Blevis and I have recorded a first episode of what we’re going to call PR and Other Deadly Sins. Hopefully, we’ll have it posted soon, and I’m gonna look forward to feedback on it.

Also, I’ve been feeling a little frustrated by the fact that I don’t have a single place where I keep notes, ideas, and things gleaned from books that I read. So I’m going to add a new page to this web site called the Translucid Bookshelf, where I’ll let you know what I’ve been reading and provide some quick reviews, thoughts, reactions, etc. This goes in the category of “something I oughta do for myself but am going to foist on you anyway.”

First book that I’m going to be logging into this page is “It’s not how good you are, it’s how good you want to be” by Paul Arden.

And of course, congratulations must go to my new podcast partner Mark on his new position. Having watched Mark work on a number of projects, and hired him in the past as a solopreneur, I think he’ll be great for Fleishman-Hillard, and it will be an interesting new challenge for him to learn how to work while wearing pants assume this new role.
