TEDxOttawa, almost two weeks later.

I’m still trying to assimilate all the things that happened to me during the whole day and night of TEDxOttawa. It was a very important event for me on a whole bunch of levels. I described it to someone as a holdyournoseshutyoureyesstepofftheboard experience, in that I talked about some things that I’ve never spoken about in a public setting.

And unless people are true BS artists, they liked what I said about “singing your song.”

Like many other people, I need to pay a little homage to Allan Isfan, Susan Murphy, and the many others who donated many hours of time to put the event together. The venue – Cinema 3 at Bitheads – was very cool. Lindsay Ferguson, Craig Stewart, Andrea Simms-Karp, Brian Simms, and Alex Houghton gave generously of their considerable musical talents.

Jowi Taylor shared the incredible Six String Nation guitar with the musicians, and with us all. It will be a long time before I forget what it was like to play a tune by my man Danny Michel on that instrument. Fabulous.

A voluminous photo gallery can be found on Mike Geiger’s site. The event photos I’ve posted here are his; the afterparty (I think) pics are mine.
